Thomas Daly and John Mahoney who did not sign.


Elizabeth Toose

Proof record. S7 p202, St. Camillus RC, Farrellton, Quebec. Witnesses were
William McCaffery and Percy Brunscombe. Elizabeth's husband preceeded her in
death. Died aged 82 years

Some children are missing - my father said his grandmother (Elizabeth's daughter) was one of 13 children.

There is some indication that Elizabeth Toose may also have been known as Elizabeth Cather (possibly a second marriage ? or possibly her second name was Catherine and this was cut off.
Once source refers to the 1891 Census and identifies William Laporte as the son of Michel Laporte m:Elizabeth Cather "Apparently in residence with brother Michael, mother Elizabeth and possibly John Hickey and wife Elizabeth Laporte".
All the Laporte names and ages match the children of Michel Laporte m:Elizabeth Toose. Plus their daughter Elizabeth married a John Hickey.

JGC- "Buried Ann Laporte daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Tooes of Wakefield, deceased 28th instant, age 10 years."

5. William John Laporte

Michel Laporte was deceased prior to this wedding. Witnesses were John and
Mary Hickey.

Harriet Hyde

Michel Laporte was deceased prior to this wedding. Witnesses were John and
Mary Hickey. This is Harriet's marriage record to William Laporte. Note of
interest; the dispensation of banns was authorized by Msgr. Routhier, Vicar
General.

8. Caroline Laporte

Elias Hughes brother of the groom and Caroline Laporte sister ofthe bride.
His father was deceased prior to this marriage. Son of age.

CAUTION ! There is another Catherine Laporte who is the daughter of Samuel
Laporte.
